Symptoms
Headaches have many origins and your doctor can help you figure out the source. Tight muscles in your neck can cause headaches, and if that’s the source of your suffering then these exercises will definitely help. Good posture, and a couple gentle stretches is the key to relief.
Treatment
Tight muscles around your head and neck can cause tension that gives you headaches. If tight muscles are the source of your headaches, then you’d feel a temporary increase in your headache if you push down hard in the center of the tight muscle. Give them a gentle stretch and be extra conscious of your posture throughout the day, and you should feel your headache subside. Fall back into slouched forward head posture and the headache will kick back up, so it’s important to stretch AND strengthen those muscles so that they will have the endurance to fight gravity all day long.
